Founded in 1936, our Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the mineralogical/geological sciences and/or the lapidary arts. We are a diverse group of people with a diverse degree of talents, and we enjoy sharing our common interests. We are one of the few area clubs with our own clubhouse and shop.
If you think you might be interested in joining, please come to one of our meetings or stop by our shop on a Saturday or Wednesday to see what membership in our club has to offer.
Membership privileges include access to our library, training in various aspects of the lapidary arts, shop facilities*, rocks and mineral specimens in the yard, CO-OP Field trips, club classes and workshops in a wide variety of topics, and the wealth of knowledge of our friendly experienced members.

Volunteers:
We give thanks to all the members of the SMS as they give of themselves throughout the year.
Without the dedicated assistance of our membership the club wouldn't be where it is today.
We're proud to share that in 2006, over two-thirds of our membership assisted and/or participated
in some way with the 2006 Show held at the Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento.
Members are the reason we are here, but without their dedicated help, we wouldn't exist at all.
Thank you!! | |
