The Matrix is the official newsletter of the Sacramento Mineral Society. Published monthly, the bulletin

attempts to share with its members and the public the activities and events of the club and its

membership, news of the rockhounding world and earth science topics, and other information we believe

is of interest to our membership and the Northern California community.

The SMS is proud of the fact that the newsletter received first place awards from both the

 CFMS and AFMS in 2006 in the 'New Editor for 2005' category, and more recently received second place awards in 2007 for the 'Large Bulletin for 2006' category in both the CFMS (state) and AFMS (national) competitions.

The newsletter is distributed to all our members upon publication. Previous issues are available by following the links below. All issues are presented in .pdf format and require the use of Acrobat Reader.

Please let the webmaster know if you have any problems. Information you provide is genuinely appreciated so we may deal with issues as early as possible.
